05 Nature of our research
We carry out our research with reasonable skill and care, drawing on primary sources and information we believe to be reliable, and we apply a verification standard to our findings. However:
- Research deals with incomplete and changing information. We do not warrant that findings are complete, error-free, or that any particular outcome will follow from acting on them.
- Our work is not financial, investment, legal, tax, or other regulated professional advice, and must not be relied on as such.
- Decisions you take, and their commercial results, are your own responsibility. We are not liable for the consequences of decisions made using our research.
- Where an honest answer is a range or an estimate, we say so; you should read findings together with the caveats we provide.
06 Confidentiality
We treat information you share with us in the course of an engagement as confidential, and we expect the same treatment of our methods, proposals, and deliverables. Full confidentiality obligations are set out in the engagement agreement. We keep the identity of our clients confidential unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
07 Rights in deliverables
On full payment of the relevant fees, we grant you a licence to use the deliverables we produce for the internal business purpose for which they were commissioned. We retain ownership of our methodologies, know-how, tools, and any general knowledge or techniques used or developed in providing the services. You may not resell or publish our deliverables without our written consent.

09 Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:
